Located in the seaside town of Rosebud on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, the much anticipated Yawa Aquatic Centre will provide the community with an outstanding venue that offers a range of recreational facilities.
Engaged by the Mornington Peninsula Shire Council, Tetra Tech Coffey provided project management services throughout the design, procurement and construction phases of this state-of-the-art aquatic centre. Designed to meet the needs and expectations of the broad and diverse community in the region, functionality was a crucial component. With an emphasis on environmental sustainability, the centre will see energy saving initiatives including a 375kw solar panel system and effective insulation treatment to the walls and floors of the pools.
Our experienced team have a strong track record in managing the development of recreational aquatic facilities for Local Government which we were able to draw on to successfully deliver this outstanding facility amidst the challenges encountered due to COVID19.
