At Tetra Tech Coffey, we are always proud of our people and always excited to showcase their achievements.

Tara was awarded the Victorian Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy’s (AusIMM) Women on Boards scholarship, which recognises the expertise of technical women in the resources industry of Victoria and the need for more women and more diversity of women in our boardrooms.

Joining Tetra Tech Coffey in 2000, Tara’s specialisation is in environmental and social management and advisory services, primarily for the resources sector. While based in Victoria, as a Senior Principal Environmental and Social Consultant, client projects see Tara working in all Australian states and internationally with focus on the Asia Pacific region. Her knowledge, experience and delivery of outstanding outcomes has seen her build long lasting relationships with a number of clients, some spanning several projects and decades.

The scholarship has given Tara access to a program of training and profiling to help kickstart successful industry women into the next phase of their careers, providing them with the chance to represent the mining industry and AusIMM.

About the Victorian AusIMM Women on Boards scholarship

The Victorian AusIMM Women on Boards scholarship is awarded annually and is part of AusIMM’s commitment to diversity and inclusion but said it also serves as an important mechanism to promote the talent pipeline of ‘board ready’ women.

AusIMM continue to use their position in the sector to better promote the equality of opportunity and drive a strategy of improvement that supports every professional looking to succeed. Scholarship recipients take part in Company Directors Course Online, and will receive facilitated introductions to recruitment organisations through the AusIMM for potential board positions, as well as profiling opportunities in the AusIMM Bulletin and across social media.
