Health, Safety, Environment and Quality

Safety is at the core of our culture.

Our Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) management systems provides our people with the tools to keep them safe, deliver quality outcomes and help protect the environment; no matter where in the world they are working. It recognises that this is not just essential for our people, but also for our clients and stakeholders.

The Tetra Tech Coffey HSEQ management systems have been externally certified to meet the requirements of ISO 45001:2018 and AS/NZS 4801:2001 for occupational health and safety management systems, ISO 9001:2015 for quality management systems and ISO 14001:2015 for environmental management systems. These certifications require a continual improvement focus on the way we conduct our activities.

Tetra Tech Coffey’s HSEQ policy has been endorsed by the Tetra Tech Coffey President and outlines our commitment, responsibilities, and expectations to ensure a safe workplace for our people, a quality focused and an environmentally aware culture. View Tetra Tech Coffey’s HSEQ policy

We track lead and lag indicators to assess our HSEQ performance. Our lead indicators include near miss and observation reporting and system improvement requests, and our lag indicators include lost time and total recordable injuries, non-conformance reports and environmental events. We strive for incremental improvement in all our indicators by reporting and assessing them every month.

Tetra Tech Coffey Safety Steps

As part of the continuous improvement of our work health and safety system, we’ve established the Tetra Tech Coffey Safety Steps.

Based on feedback and lessons learned from incidents across our business the Safety Steps cover frequent work tasks and situations, and the steps you can take to minimise the associated risks.

Serious incidents are not inevitable, and these Safety Steps are pivotal to preventing accidents across our operations. Always being vigilant and proactive with escalating and reporting potential risks, will also help improve safety.
